Those 15" are seriously loud man. How big of a room are you putting that thing in?

It's 18 x 28 with high ceiling and stained concrete floor. The room is going to be pretty acoustically live with no/little soft serfaces. I do want to feel it...

I've been interested in hearing a JL E-110 or 112. But no one near me carries JL Home Audio.

I didn't read the whole thread. Anybody out there build speakers? I've built several subs. My main's are an 18 inch raw frame from Northcreek Audio. Also build a Stryke 15"... they are now Acoustic Elegance. http://aespeakers.com/shop/ Both are way over kill.

My computer has a 8 inch SW; parts from Parts Express. More reasonable.

I know a few people who have owned JL and were pleased.

I've given this some thought becaus of $. I think I could get more sub if I did it myself...only concerned about the outcome as I know zero about putting it together.

You can start with a "kit". You don't have to swing for the fence the first time out. Once you start it can become another obsession like mods on a truck.

I picked up a definitive technology super cube 2000 a couple weeks ago, and really like it. It sounds great and blends with my b&w 683 s2 towers nicely.

    Curious what op went with.
after research i was told the r115sw was not too great and was steered to svs. These opinions came from a klipsch forum even.
