Pork butt burnt ends... Screwed it up a bit. Cooked at average 240 for 4 hours, pulled at 195, cooked another half hour in a pan with sauce. They ended up a bit dry. Plus I put too much rub on, they were a bit salty. Live and learn.

Pulled and ready to serve. Had no self control and had to take few bites during the pulling process

Eating the best bits while pulling is the tax others pay for your labors IMO.

We had a big snow storm here yesterday. About 9" of the fluffy white stuff so didn't get to smoke anything yesterday. We are going to be off to do some shopping tonight to pick up a butt or two and some beef roast's that we will be doing this coming Saturday for a Christmas party we are having. Means I need to get myself outside this evening and get the thermal blanket on the smoker so that things stay even temp wise while she's outside smoking.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Smoking this weekend may not happen. Chance of rain and 16-20mph winds. :(

ack, but if you're gonna cheat, just use liquid smoke. it's cheaper and is just smoked air condensed into water. you can even make it yourself if you're a cheap bastard.

Hmm we are all into smoking meats, upgrading our smokers, buying multiple smokers, testing recipes out on that prime rib we got. What is this cheap you speak of?

They just spray a puff into their beards so people think they've been out in the woods, near campfires and such. Goes with the flannel.
