    Hello everybody, first post here.
I bought 17 TRD offroad Tacoma Inferno color about 2 months ago. I like the original tires, but the other day I almost got stuck. I would have gotten around easier in some open country or something like that. The only problem and question is, if I got some aftermarket tires on there, would the crawl control still work properly? Thank yall!

If you wore different shoes, would you still know how to walk?

CC bro edition just for the new Tacos.
OP, just take some air out of your tires to get unstuck.

Nice analogy with the shoes, but I think you completely missed the question. IDK if you've seen the video where they demonstrate it for the baja race truck. They use the original Kevlar tires. If they're out in the dessert why wouldn't they use tires with better off road treading? maybe the computer is only calibrated for those tire, kind of how if you just put bigger tires on a truck the speedometer is off and needs to be re calibrated. Maybe tires with better treading wont build up the sand as well.

If I take air out of my tires, what's the best brand to replace it with, synthetic?

I am really interested in the solutions you find. I changed from KO's to coopers and I swear my a-trac no longer works the same.

So you are saying I can go with heavier tires but use helium to counter act?

Probably because you have more or less mechanical grip compared to what it was. This is like asking "why doesn't my traction control come on as often when I changed to R888s on my sports car vs a generic all season?"
