Just replace them all. Thats what everyone else does. No point in changing them out 1 at a time. Spin them when they're off to find the bad one. Save the other in the spare parts bin in your truck along with the old belt(You have a spare parts bin in your truck, right). Problem solved, and if you have an issue later, its solved too.

well damn. this just went from finding out if its a pulley noise to just replacing them all haha. doesn't sound like a bad plan anyways. and yea always have certain parts onboard just in case. anyone use anything besides the OEM pulleys?

I wasn't thinking just the gear, but the combo of the higher gear along with all the extra weight. Truck may be running in a haul situation. I'm not saying I'm right. Just brainstorming. Same with Andrew. Lot more extra weight and 35's is more strain causing open loop.

You should be able to connect your scan tool on the highway to see if that's the case. Not with Jimbo, now, but maybe Andrew.

I did some thinking on the way back. Jimbo brad and I convoying. I don't think drafting took much effect into calculations. I was probably the heaviest truck and didn't stay close enough to draft.

Probably the closest case study of short-term gas mileage. With "controlling" as many variables as possible.

    Trucks:
@JimboAnz DCSB, 265/75/16, bumpers, skids, rtt
@Sandman614 DCSB, 265/75/16, bumpers, skids, solar panel and traction mats
@HrBrad8 DCLB, 265/70/17, skids, soft tonneau

    "controlled" variables:
    Tire size
    Type of truck
    Speed
    Throttle control
    Bed coverage

A few observations on gas mileage:
    - Jimbo approximately 15 mpg
    - Brad consistently around 20mpg
    - Myself 17 - 19mpg

    Conclusions:
    - Armor eats up a little bit of mileage
    - Armor & bed bars and extra load eats up more
    - RTT are big parachutes, gas hog

If I can gain back 3-5 mpg after a regear...I'd be so happy.
