Approaching 3000 km's on my 2017 DCLB TRD sport. Loving the new ride so far. Adjusting to the tranny and wondering what the loud noise is when there is wheel spin in snow?20161118_124721.jpg

Welcome  the noise is probably just your traction control getting mad at you over wheel spin

Thanks Jester. This was my thought but wondered if normal. It certainly does a good job of getting the vehicle back under control but us disturbingly loud. Curious what is actually going on? is it brake force slowing the spinning wheels down? Also, can this be disabled? I have tried pressing the LSD button but it does not change anything.

at a stop press and hold the button for I think like 5 seconds and it disables traction control, at least on my 4 runner it works that way, it looks like something like this:

after you go over 30 mph it all turns back on though.
