My '03 PreRunner came with the towing package which includes what I think is a 4-Pole flat trailer connection.
Does anyone know which wire is used to trigger the Reverse lights?? I'm installing some flush mount LED Pods and if possible would like to tap into the trailer reverse wire (if there is one).

    Appreciate your help

Response from Etrailer Support. So, I'll be tapping into the reverse light (Green wire?) that feeds into the tail lights.

I have a ridgeline LED taillight and I had to splice the power coming from the reverse lights inside the taillight assembly. I cut the existing factory harness and spliced in a power wire so the reverse lights are only triggered when in reverse.

most trailer wiring does not include reverse lights as they are not usually needed or required on trailers.

That being said you can do what most do and tap into the wire near the driver's side tail light assembly (I believe green w/yellow stripe). Then make sure to have a good ground from the pod to the bumper or frame. You can get more in depth with a relay harness and isolate a separate power source as to not overload the wires (depending on what wattage your pods are)
