I don't think they are all that expensive for what they are.

raw 3/16" plate steel isn't cheap to purchase these days.
Plus someone needs be paid for their time spent bending them.

I'll bet the factory Toyota skids cost more...
    and aren't worth chit.

I see an option for powder coating... but not painting !?

I doubt I ever pay to powder coat a skid plate anyways...
'cause if they're utilized... they're gonna get boogered up.

If that doesn't occur... then ya don't really need them IMO.

Prep then Rattle can them... maybe three or four cans... call it good enough.

Have a coupla' extra rattle cans on hand for future touch up.

I prefer using Krylon semi-flat blk "Rust Tough"... blends well
easily degreased/sanded for the new coat - blend.

Once a year pull them off and do some real prep (cleaning)
    re-paint well (several coats)
and ignore them for another year.

I found these three companies that include engine, transmission and transfercase skids.
Guess I will have to be careful for awhile, I cant afford them at these prices.

    BudBuilt = $681.31
    Relentless Fabrication = $814.00
    Skid Row Offroad = $961.47

I went with the @RelentlessFab , bare metal and then rattle canned them. $599 for the full set (and that still looks like the price on their web site). Couldn't be happier, even with a bit of modding that I had to do to the mid-skid with my CA Taco. Wrote up the whole experience over here. Skids only here.

Edit: and if you head over to the Relentless vendor page here on the forum, I think you'll find a 10%-ish discount for TW members.

yer BudBuilt prices aren't right !? Lol

If you look at the BudBuilt link I posted on post # 2

they sell for $ 575.00 (1st gen) on their website.

    So $ 667.47 is nearly $ 100.00 more ??

hmmm... so are your listed prices based on some other distributor ?
