Hey everybody my post is a little long so bare with me. Like the title says I will be purchasing a new Tacoma in the near future! I recently moved back to southern Cal from Florida 8 months ago and I had no car so I borrowed a buddy's 2000 Ranger (4cyl, 5spd, reg cab) while his license was suspended and then I had to hand it back to him when he got his license back. I thought it was a good little truck until my brother's roommate let me borrow his 2000 Tacoma (same thing 4 cyl, 5 spd, reg cab) And man oh man, what a difference that was! The Tacoma was a little smaller but it was so much better built than the Ranger! Everything felt solid, from the door panels to the switchgear and to the shifter, etc. etc. It's just a much better truck overall, and I'm sure you all know that.

Anyway, I was talking to a guy at my work who has a 2006 Tacoma V6 crew cab 4x2 and he said he got it for 19,500 brand new. But he paid in cash. So I'm wondering what price did you guys get your Tacos for? And my only concern right now is the 2nd gen Tacoma is almost 6 years old now, are they up for a redesign soon? I don't want to get a new truck and then a year and a half later a whole new generation of them come out and I'm driving the older style. It's not that big of a deal but it is a concern.
