So take my Tacoma in for 10k mile oil change, rotation and check alignment. said steering knuckle is jacked up and cant even align on the laser alignment. Being told its not even covered under factory warranty. Just mind boggling that something on a new vehicle under a year old isn't covered under warranty when I don't even go off road or anything in this truck.

anyone else having issues with alignment or where I can get steering knuckle for cheaper than $800

Unless they can prove that it was damaged by outside forces such as impact, they're going to have a hard time not paying for the repair under the 20k bumper to bumper warranty I would imagine. File a case with Toyota Corporate.

Ahh, I would have Yota coorporate on the phone, in fact I would make the service dept get yota on the phone, and would not be leaving with out them taking care of the issue.

    BULLSHIT!!

Just my opinion, never go back to that dealer again.
I have learned that if you file a complaint or give a really bad survey after you leave Toyota Corp. Will contact you and make it good. Their dealer rating is how they get the "cream of the crop" vehicles on their lot.
File a complaint and use names !

Do you have any mods that they could be blaming? And what are they calling "jacked up"?
I would request to take pics of it and then you can send those pics when you open your case with Toyota.

Call Toyota and tell them if they don't fix it, you will go buy a Colorado and never buy a Toyota again. That should do it!

no mods or anything. I got 4x4 just cuz when it snows here we have hills galore. but I haven't hit or been hit by anything, that I know of. and I don't do off-roading and everywhere else on truck passenger side is spotless.

Got a pic? If they change the part out make sure you get the old part. Look at it and see if a weld or something in the part is faulty. If it's just bent you may be out of luck. I can see why they might not cover it under warranty, people hit potholes everyday and that is not covered under warranty but may be covered by insurance. Or you may have to just chalk it up to life happens. Because these things do just happen in life.

Well, I'm not sure what makes people think that if they hit something parts should be covered under warranty. I would think it would be an insurance issue. Out of all the complaints I've seen here, this is a first for this, so it's not something common that needs to be addressed by Toyota.

so after all the BS they gave me and I told them I have not hit anything and there was no damage on the truck, they decided to put the truck on the other alignment machine and it was perfectly fine. I asked them when they blamed the machine if any of the mechanics even looked at the spindle knuckle and their reply was a blank stare. needless to say I will be driving 20 mins to either Cleveland or Dalton for my services from now on. straight morons in Chattanooga.

and if I know I haven't hit anything and the only one that has driven my vehicle, I think me going to Toyota to question them is warranted.

    Great. Glad it worked out.

I'm also glad you have other dealership options. Where I live there is only one dealership and they're not particularly talented.
