    Hello,

I currently own a 2008 AT single cab with a 2.7 that has 81K miles. When towing a jetski and trailer that is about 1200lbs, what gear should I be using? Avg about 40 miles each way tow to the beach. Mostly flat surface. I am sure on hills, I have to downshift.

    When I had a 2012 V6, I just use "D" drive.

My 2015 Access cab came with a receiver hitch and 4 prong plug factory installed. I tow a 6x10 cargo trailer that weighs in at about 2200 pounds over through the WV mountains frequently. Never had a problem with this truck or my old 98.

    D. It's why it's called 'automatic'.

Use 5th and downshift if necessary. Duh.

Oh, automatic? Ok sorry. 4th, and downshift if it starts hunting.
