That was my guess as well, but the suspense is killing me.

Came home to 3 Amazon boxes on my porch. Thought it was my room mate's duck calls. I was beyond excited to see it was addressed to me:eek: @Tayoflor Thank you so much! The headlamp will definitely go in my truck. I can't even tell you how many times I got angry at holding a light. Never thought of a headlamp. The knife is gonna go right out in the back garage for deer skinning/duck cleaning. It's actually the perfect size for that. Of course I had to fight my roommate to keep his paws off my new stuff :duel:
Thank you so much for the gifts! They will come in handy for sure, maybe even this weekend if a big buck makes the mistake of walking under my stand. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and happy new year!
(Tagging @theredofshaw so he can update the list with my name.)

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I hope it's something funnier than that - that was just my cheesy and unimaginative guess. :)

I'm still obsessively checking my porch/PO Box for packages, all my other Christmas shopping has arrived in the meantime so the next one is definitely gonna be for me!

In the meantime maybe this belongs in the WTF thread but someone sent this to me today...

    Oh.... my.... god

    @Delta00 f'in nailed it!

I received the big pink box that was pretty heavy. First impression is that whoever packed this thing... they knew what they were doing.

My second thought was, "what's that faint smell? It smells like 'victory' to me." Through the heavy duty plastic corrugated and endless yards of tape, I smelled it.

Then I opened the box to be greeted with this dude (matchbox there for scale)

    IMG_0804_zpshh0p0b0b_020e128b7b3ce639880e6e802eb20f1468da254f.jpg

When the box was opened my daughter commented, "Papa... is that the Sharpie I smell?"

"No, Love. That's not the smell of marker. It's almost smells like Eau Du Spray Can."

But we moved on to unearth the gifts from the custom packing job.

    IMG_0806_zpsio0t2w4p_93088178149d068e319ba06d049adcaf15292224.jpg

    1. You can see the detail in the packing. Each gift had it's own cut out in the mold.

    2. It's a good thing there was explicit instructions otherwise I would have managed to get my head and left hand stuck in the toilet.

    "Open first" gift:

    IMG_0808_zpsavjm0ore_4bee9be418b22fd7e59cf2ab9bbbfb9e5234838f.jpg

YES!!! I'm a hot sauce fiend and love local offerings I cannot get. Before I got to gift #2, I busted one open and began to sample it.

Absolutely delicious with plenty of heat. Can't wait to try the others. Kudos to Arizona Gunslinger hot sauce. Tonight is taco night also, so perfect timing.

    IMG_0815_zpsmpv5foxp_f163e01e7b1a535926497f30679437932ad29db3.jpg

And it's already become friends with the Colorado Boys.

    IMG_0816_zpsoioz2kgv_089497c89270007e1713a257ab3a7b16354936e7.jpg

Then it was on to "open second" gift.

As I began to unwrap it from it's protective sheath, the faint smell became more powerful. The warm fuzzy feeling I got "down below" and the chemical reaction in my brain that released a mega endorphin rush were undeniable. Only two things create such a powerful movement inside of me. One, the horizontal hoola-hoop with my GF and two, the smell of spray paint.

Finally freed from its pupa cocoon, I grab hold of one of the most beautiful things ever. A 3D metal sculpture of the Colorado flag.

    IMG_0812_zpsko969d80_16c37f9ac8bf22637b98bd7d016713aa5a69f0a7.jpg

I sit there, with my daughter, both of us speechless other than muttering, "so cool" under our breath.

    IMG_0813_zpsgucyldno_bf4e276060400942389835341c46355e7a6d905c.jpg

I love Colorado. It is my home. It is my daughter's home. And we are so proud to live here and take advantage of all her glory. And while I'm not one of those people that deck themselves out with Colorado apparel, I love the Colorado flag, what it represents and have a couple of really cool and unique features of it in my house and on my property.

    This fits in masterfully.

But wait, why the spray paint smell? Does Delta00 know me so well that he sprayed a bit in there like perfume in a sailor's letter he received from his loved one back home? Because he knows it makes me go wild like Curly when he smells Wild Hyacinth? (I'll let you young'uns look that one up)

No, it's far more special than that.

    IMG_0814_zpsswyy5p14_fecbd357eb2572d4b4ab9a01accc93099e5946d3.jpg

Delta00 knows that I appreciate handmade/handcrafted items more than anything. So he actually made this for me. And it goes beyond that. He spray painted it as the finish. Because he knows how much I love spray painting things. But it goes beyond that. He used all official Toyota colors to make it. Because he knows how much I love Toyota trucks. It even goes beyond that... the "C" is Sunfire Red Pearl... the color of my truck because he, and everyone else, knows it's the greatest color Toyota has ever made.

Holy smokes... I can't believe how perfect these items are. For someone (me) who doesn't post anything about wants or needs, you couldn't have nailed it any more perfectly. I am in the process of redoing my "family" wall where I hang pictures of my family (dating back to the late 1800s) mixed in with the artwork that my daughter, cousin, father and deceased grandfather have created throughout many decades.

This piece is no doubt going to be hung amongst my family.

Thank you so much. And Happy Holidays to you and yours as well.

PS... Yes, I got punked

PPS, my daughter wants to write you a note. Here she is:

    hey Delta00,

i am so thankful that you got these things for my dad.He really liked it as you can tell.
thank you for bringing in the holiday spirit. Happy Christmas!!

Don't know who you are but thank you very much for the jacket, shirt, hats and patches! I think my son was as excited as I was when opening the box and the little turd already claimed a hat! Thanks again!

I appreciate that you said that I nailed it, like I said it was difficult to find out exactly what you liked. I loved reading your post because it made me laugh and it made all the work that went into building the flag 100% worth it. I'm honored that you like it enough to hang it in such a special place!

You really freaked me out when you posted fedex packages were being stolen because I read that right when I got back from shipping it via fedex! So I had to post some not so subtle hints that a package was coming you way.
Also, I appreciate the note from your daughter and that she found enjoyment in the gift.

    Merry Christmas!

I like your style. I am a fan of this style. Especially with lots of bubble wrap and gorilla tape for a very very small object, usually inside of many boxes.
