The past few days I've been working on Upper and Lower Ball Joints, inner and outer TRE's on my 2004 Tacoma 4x4.

This afternoon I was almost done, everything going pretty smooth, then I broke an LBJ bolt with the torque wrench. WTF? Well turns out my shitty torque wrench is way out of whack, and I definitely overtorqued all but 3 of my LBJ bolts and broke one. These were new OEM bolts I ordered for this job. Obviously all of the overtorqued bolts are now trash. I ordered new bolts from the dealer, won't be in til Friday though.

(I got the broken bolt out no problem with a Vise-Grip)

My current plan is to remove all LBJ bolts and replace with the old bolts I pulled out, Loctite and torque to 59 Ft Lbs with a legitimate torque wrench, get an alignment tomorrow, then replace the bolts one at a time next week.

Any idea if this will affect my alignment, replacing bolts one at a time?

    Thanks

You can temporally use the old bolts until the new ones come in. Just make sure you lock-tite them and torque them down as usual.
Also, unless your alignment was out of spec prior to ball joint replacement....you shouldn't need one...unless you are the OCD type (like me) that has to know things are bang-on right.
