Anyone one that splits their own wood use a hookaroon?

I bought one from council tools, looks like a good idea for getting wood from the ground up to the splitter. Obviously really small and big pieces wouldn't work as well as normal sized rounds. I am getting older and wanted to see if I could avoid bending over to pick up each piece. I saw some youtube videos but didn't know if anyone here had anything to say about them.
