I bought some OEMassive headlights, look great. No leaking or condensation but the light pattern is horrible. I would take a picture but it's raining right now. There's no beam, just kinda spread out..hard to explain. I have Spyder tail lights and they are great. Any experience with their headlights? Or other suggestions...2001 Tacoma
    Thanks!

I have spyder's front and back. If you like seeing well at night I would go a different route. I even upgraded to brighter bulbs and that helped some but not much.

I ordered some Depo headlights. Did some research and saw that they are a good brand. They are all chrome while the Massive ones are black so I may black out the Depo ones. Thanks for the heads up on Spyder.

I honestly think it depends where you get them from. I had an 02 I put them on. Loved them a ton and saw just fine. I bought the pair that had the LED lights on the bottom from AutolightPros. I read reviews online about problems created from install, so I took them into the local Toyota dealer and had them do the install.
I grew out of the look, so I am not planning on adding them to my 04.

Depot is decent for aftermarket cheap crap. They are big in the euro world (where I spend the rest of my time)

Should have mentioned I had the projectors. They are known for looking 'cool' but having low long term quality.2016-12-14-15-45-09--1003109522.jpg

If these headlights wind up being horrible what brand and a good place to buy? I don't mind paying as long as they are good lights and I can see.

Crap. Even with retrofits...Crap. I ordered a new set of housings a long time ago and planned on redoing my retros. Anxious and procrastinating to do it a 3rd time.. If this 3rd set gives me any issues, I'm dumping them and going back to the two piece sets.

They are nice at first. But the clear coat fails pretty quick. As well as the brackets are cheaply made. I'm gonna be extra careful with my new set. Put a uv film on the lens, and heat gun to split for retrofit instead of oven. I tink the oven weakened the internals. My reflector on one side broke loose. Probly from a combination of heating as well as extra weight of the projector.

The regular halogen output isn't that great either. The reflectors are a lot smaller than oem types. And they only adjust up and down. Plus to get them to fit good and snug, you gotta chop the ends of your grille. I didn't on mine, but it's a right fit. And a pain to install/uninstall. Basically, you take the grille off, insert the lights into the grille, then juggle the whole assembly in place and bolt them down. This also helps if the brackets ever break, your grille will hold them in. Which my brackets on bit sides have broke. So they're just kinda resting in there now. Ha.
