I take imitrex shots and tablets. Naproxyn along with extends and intensify the imitrex. Dr told me and it works.
But the tens unit really helps when neck and shoulders tense up with migraine.

I tired imitrex tablets no dice Naprosyn would put me in the ICU :{ allergic to NSAIDS as in anaphylactic epi pen allergic to them. Last time I had a reaction 3 days in ICU getting pumped full of Solumedrol cute nurses but boring as hell. If it gets really bad ie beyond 24 they give me a shot of Demerol and phenergran (sp) but then it is down for the count for 8 hrs plus. When they wake me up like this I can usually stop it with the light weight stuff Fiorinal / Codeine really hot shower to the neck on pulse and then lay on heat pad set to about broil. I am going to talk to my neuro next time I see him about a tens you mentioned it before but I had not heard of it for migraines.

Morning, ugh. Cypher hope you feel better soon I took the dogs out and on second cup of coffee. Sitting in my recliner and hit the heating button on the pad and nothing that sucks. Fight with it after work today probably just came unplugged but can't bend that far yet to check. I know a little bit how you feel but not even close to what you are right now. Hope it turns around ASAP.

-6 real feel -25 right now which will be actual temp Saturday can't wait to see what wind chill is then. Getting up to 3 above today for a high. But up to 16 tomorrow and once again it warms up and snows then the bottom drops out. Dug the gloves out this morning time to start wearing them I guess. And put on a thin wool base layer over the silk long johns.

Snuck in a workout and enjoying a cup of coffee now. Rough gig I got here. ;)

Hope you feel better soon @Cypher
