push button dash lights

are the buttons for traction control and clutch start cancel supposed to be lit up at night when my lights are on?
its not a huge deal, but m wondering if there is a bulb or led out behind them because all of the others light up the backlight in orange when the lights are on. and it makes finding the vsc/trac button hard to find at night. (the clutch start cancel is obviously a moot point if the lights are on since ive usually started the truck before turning the lights on).

Not sure about the clutch/start/cancel button since I don't have a manual, but the VSC/trac "car" whatever button should be lit. All my switches over there light up, minus the window adjustment.

If in doubt pop it out and see if it has a bulb in it. Bulbs are the neowedge type so they "unscrew" and pop out, they have a brown colored base.

How do you pop the switches out to check for lights? I don't want to screw anything up, or break a mount, anything like that...

 

Remove the little drawer on the bottom and it will open a space up that you can pop the first three out. With the mirror control popped out, you might have enough room to then pop the top row out. Or you can dismantle the dash if you want to take the time

 

i just looked at mine, not sure if years are different but with my '15 they are lit up the same except my traction control switch is backlit

3 mm bulb (smallest one) is a tight fit but these work just fine
