Has anyone had to replace their motor mounts? I drive a 2000 Tacoma prerunner V6 2WD extended cab. I think I finally located my popping noise to the passengers side motor mount. I don't even know where to begin when replacing it. Do anyone have photos of when they replaced theirs?

    thanks

I did it last month, I have a 2.7 but I think it's similar and may even use the same mounts. It's a giant pain in the ass to work in there, but you can do it if you've got a floor jack, a piece of 2x4 and basic hand tools. Each mount has two bolts and a nut on a threaded stud you'll have to remove. Just loosen all the fasteners, raise the block slightly with your jack under the oil pan with a 2x4, remove and replace. I think it took me about 4 hours to do it, with a lot of trial and error trying to get everything to line up correctly.

I remember the passenger side was far easier than the driver's side due to all the stuff in the way on the driver's, steering column and such.

I will have to get up underneath the truck and see what ill be working around... my plan would be to replace the passenger side only and see if that fixes the popping noise I get whenever I accelerate.
