    No not really ha ha. The only thing I can think of Nebraskans hating Texas for is College Football. And let's be frank here. Neither of us have been good for a while now. :)

    While I am not sure if this is related to this secret santa or not, I wanted to post this anyways. I am quoting this from my facebook post and I hope to find out who nominated me to give them the appropriate thanks.

    "I am not sure who nominated me for the SSGT D'Augustine Memorial Fund Secret Santa Program but I wanted to give a huge thanks to them, the family in Ohio that sent the package, the children who wrote the letters and the people at SSGT D'Augustine Memorial Fund who made it happen. For those that don't know, this is a secret santa program for veterans. From what I understand, the purpose of this program is to let veterans know they have not been forgotten. This was a reminder of how much a small gesture, such as a care package, can make a big difference in someones day. Opening this package brought back fond memories of how excited I was to see the helicopter that brought mail to our COP while deployed in Afghanistan. Thank you to everyone involved."

    Ummmm.... the NHL.

    My part-time job is as an Off-Ice Official for the NHL at the Gila River Arena in Phoenix. I make sure all the ref mics, net cams, and computers for video replay and the stats guys work.

    I have to say, it is the coolest job in the world.

    Got a call from the wife today. Said there is a package at home for me from someone in mobile al. I am sure my voice went up as I spoke to her as she could tell I was excited. Got home from work and the girls had it in the middle of the floor trying to guess what was inside. Lol. It was a great feeling to watch their imaginations run wild with the thought of what could be in a gift from a complete stranger. I opened the box and we were all amazed at the kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity that lay inside. First off was a heart felt note, and yes you did great. We love the gifts. Next was a tin of cookies for the girls and I to share. Then the big box. A set of pod lights and some stickers for Silvia " my truck". Also included is this super sweet little sog tool that I believe you can completely dismantle a Yugo with and a little flashlight. These will go nicely in one of the little cubbies under the dash. The next thing is this really awesome fire starter kit that will go in my glove box. Then came my favorite. Whisky stones. That's right. I can literally drink my adult beverage "on the rocks". Not real good at the reverse stalking thing but to whom ever you are thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we pray you and yours have a merry Christmas and a great next year.
