Gold Mountain is a difficult trail located northeast of Big Bear Lake. The closest paved road is CA-18. This trail has several tall ledges, deep holes in places, and is a tight fit for our big, beautiful trucks. There's an alternate (and more difficult) route, a talus rock slope that I opted not to drive through. I made it through with a lot of rock stacking, decent spotting, 34" tires, and a giant dent on my driver's side door. A locker is a real help here and I wouldn't want to take tires smaller than 33" out here.

Looks like a cool trail! Did I miss it or did you guys choose not to air down?

Nice! Gold Mountain is a ton of fun, I've run it a few times in the last few months. I think it's a little tougher than the MJT (Miller Jeep Trail) actually. Armor is a must have on both and a locker is highly recommended, though I've seen open diffs get through both (definitely want armor in that case)

I just noticed you have a Tundra, is it open diff?

I aired down some at the very beginning before Skyline, but I should have aired down more before hitting this.

I have an ARB in the rear.
