Yea really any hot rolled mild steel will work, it's all about design on the inside ribs, most 4130 kits are just 1/8" everywhere.

I used mild basically for the whole thing and have lawn darted the front end soo hard into whoops and dunes that I broke the whole bolt on mounts that held my last bumper on off the frame and broke the steering column off the mount tube in the cab.... and my arms are fine lol

So sick. Got frame plates and I should get a bonus in Jan or feb allowing me to get bypasses and hydro bumps. Then hopefully I can drop it off at your place for a week before overland expo west....

What type of 3/16 tubing you use for the brakes and curious what double flare tool you are using. You making this look too easy.

Do you need a pretty expensive tool for 37* flare on stainless?

Yea and doubleflare can burn in hell, all my brake connections are AN to AN even using some of the stock hardlines, friends race truck has a few lines like that and they work fine.

I kinda sorta know my way around a tube bender lol

Nah u can get handheld dealios for less than 100$
The key to good flaring is a square cut end and deburred on the inner outer lip, then polished with a blue scotchbrite disc on a lil air diegrinder..... I do it for all our helicopters and some of those lines have 3500 psi thru em and no drippy drippy

Haha looks like you are the one to talk about brake lines. So the mc and calipers are still that factory double flare bs. Is there a simple off the shelf adapter you used ?

Well my front calipers still have the factory lines and extended stainless lines I bought long time ago. And since I removed the electric boosted system(trd package shit) and went to the base model vacuum. I did the double flare on one end with the factory nut to adapt to the master then basically cut a AN3 union in half and brazed it on the other tube end lol. I'll take a picture of it for you tommorow

Some other brake line stuff, these style of flex lines are super easy to make and if you smash a hose u can reuse the fitting ends.
