How is it that violence did not ensue?

 

It's preferable to not put a fridge on its side however, it's not a complete no no. If you must put a fridge on its side, make sure you put it upright over night before plugging it in. If you put a fridge on its side, like snooze said, oil runs into the cooler tubes so you need to give it time to settle out again. If you can avoid it, you should.

On the road, there's not much you should do. Cars do have points that you can tug from. They can't really withstand a full blown recovery but you can pull on them a bit.

 

Busy weekend. And a hungover weekend. Damn.

A bottle of Knappogue Castle 12 yr was sitting on my desk when I came into my office this morning. Not a bad Christmas present from one of the Sales Managers I work with

 

Awesome! We're doing our office Yankee Swap tonight at the local pub. I doubt anyone brought something that nice though, we did a low cap, more for fun than anything.

 

I ended up with $20 of scratch tickets on Friday at our Swap. Won $0 haha. And that is why I have never bought a single one in my life, no luck.

 

You can but if it's on it's side for an hour then make sure it's upright for that same hour before plugging it in. That's what I have been told.

Towed the big v-nose trailer fully loaded this weekend 450 miles up to Pittsburg and back. Taco handled it beauty! Drive home Sunday was nasty on messy, wet roads. Only time I wished I had a bigger tow vehicle was when it got really windy. Then it felt like the trailer was driving, not me. Rode the sled 150 miles in December- amazing!

ViAir 88P pump I keep in the truck so I'll give him that since I just bought a new one for this season. Apparently my nephew wants the 2016 Hess Truck... didn't even know those existed... And an Xbox One controller (Those things at 55$???)

My sister got new summer tires on her (actually mine..) Acura from me this year, along with winters for my mom's (also mine..) Lancer. Thankfully after the Lancer I realized if I buy only manual vehicles they won't steal them from me.

Most cars these days have a small square popout piece in the front or rear bumper, and a threaded eye bolt in the spare tire well. You pop the piece out of the bumper, thread the eye bolt in, and presto-chango, instant recovery point. They're directly attached to the car's unit body, so it's as solid of a point as you're likely to find. That's where tow trucks hook on if they need to winch somebody. BUT, no hard tugging/jerking (yeah, yeah, ya pervs), just a steady pull, or you can bend things.
