Costco has it for $250 here. It was the first thing I did to my Taco. It doesn't really allow for quick access, but I usually keep my piece on my hip, or I place it on top of the vault and close the lid. My Glock 27 and S&W J frame sits perfectly there and quick access. If I need to lock it away, just open it up, and lock it in.. I don't need quick access if I'm securing it.

It does take quite a bit of room so I only keep my ipod and any other random valuables I'm carrying around for the day.

The thing is SOLID. My only concern would be if someone were to break into my truck and notices the vault, they'd probably want to know whats in it, and they'd have to destroy my truck to get to it... But hey, if they want it that bad, go for it.. I almost always keep my gun and badge on me anyways.. (my co-worker, not so lucky.. just had both stolen last month)

Here's a few pics of it in my 2012.. Sorry for the crappy phone pics..

    Closed console:

Could you set your own combo on the lock or is it set at the factory?

Does the console vault bolt throught the floor? Otherwise it looks like if you sat in the back seat and kicked the f out of it, you could get in there. It doesn't take much to remove the center console from the vehicle, hence the question.

I have a lockrdown that I bought about 4 years ago for my '11. Very happy with it, fitment was exact and easy. Seemed to be equivalent to the console vault. At the time there was a coupon for TW members and maybe free shipping. If I remember correctly it was about 40-50 cheaper than the console vault.

It bolts in using the same bolts that hold the center console in. One fits, the other bolt is a tad too short.
