its possible, but I'm no expert. Just relaying information gathered upon reading different threads. Is everything working properly?

The pins on my resistor were the problem. It's a sloppy fit, I bent them slightly towards the contacts in the female connector no more problem. YMMV

Yeah everything works fine. I did have a weird ticking several months ago that I was assuming was the blower motor but it has all gone away. The only thing that isn't working right, besides the scorched connector, is the panel lighting is really dim and can't be controlled by the dimmer switch. I do have the illumination wires tapped into for some switch lighting, so that maybe it.

well you're lucky the ticking went away, its really annoying to hear haha that is indeed the motor. burnt connector I would say that there's a loose connection somewhere causing extra resistance in the circuit. seems like most people are having connection issues at the resistor. Dim lighting could be caused by the power draw from your switch lighting. you could test that theory by removing it temporarily if it really bothers you and isn't a PITA to do lol

Yeah if you're patched into the lighting they'll be dim because they aren't getting the same power flow as before. Shouldn't be too much an issue unless fuses keep blowing.

And my motor always had a really light ticking on the lowest setting. I could hear it in early summer/winter when only needing to barely use the first speed setting. Anything higher and it drowns it out.

But now, now it slowly tick tick tick until it reaches a speed it needs to push air. I can hear it struggling to turn. And I hear the ticking on the first three settings for air. It's obviously going out. I have the newer OEM Blower Motor 87103-04044 on order. (btw, the older -04043 is the original part) The 04044 is the newer model that shouldn't have ticking. For anyone else replacing the blower motor. I'll post my results over the weekend.

Toyotaonlineparts.com has the blower for $91. Decent price and cheaper than Amazon.. debating buying it with them, or from Amazon who I know will ship fast.

Anyone order from that site before?

Think I'll pull the trigger and hope they ship fast. Says it's OEM
