Recently took delivery of an ARE V series for my 16 TRD OR. I love the shell, but upon initial examination It looked to be off center on the bed. However, the guy who installed the shell pointed out that my bed (or cab) is off center. Sure enough, looking from the back of the truck the bed appears to about 1 1/4 inches further over on the drivers side than the passengers side. In fact, he pointed out the rubber strips between the cab and the bed were not even close to being an equal distance on each side, as one touches the cab and the other is about a half inch off. Anyone have any experience with this situation and how their dealer handled it? Add that to the buzzy vibration, vibrating hood, and tranny issue!!! I have searched the forum, but was unable to find a similar post. Any help would be appreciated..

Known occurrence from the 2nd gen days. Dealer (or you) can loosen the 6 bed bolts and shift the bed slightly to align it.

Dealer. My ARE was spot on and didn't touch the bed anywhere and 4 months later it hasn't moved at all. Very pleased with my ARE V. I have seen another thread several months ago about beds not being centered correctly, if you have the time search for it.

I love the ARE, but it hangs out over an inch on the drivers side and is slightly inside on the passenger side. Drives me crazy! Hopefully I will get the "oh that's no problem" at the dealership. I am expecting for them to tell me that I have to have the shell removed before they can move the bed.
