So like the title says I was involved in a pretty bad work accident. Been in the hospital since the 11th. Already had one surgery to fix a broken humerus and gonna need surgery on both my knees. Just really bored and have been unbelievably busy with work until now. So figure this is as good of place as any to jump back into the community

Wow. That is horrible. I bet it scared you to death. I'm so glad that everything seems like it can recover, although it will take time. Looks like the Big Guy upstairs was watching over you.

We would all like to know more of the story.

No I was running code 2 to an overdose call wasn't even speeding and was about to cut my lights when I heard EMS was 23.

I work for a small department my partner and I were at a 3 car accident scene when we got a call for a overdose subject across town. I had gotten the vehicles off the roadway so I decided to head out to the overdose call. I take off running my overhead lights just to clear the busy streets a little bit. I here over the radio that EMS was on location I was just about to kill my lights when I realized I couldn't see out my windshield anymore. Went to hit my brakes to show down and my unit spun about 150 degrees and slid drivers side first into a tree.

    It'll buff out! JK

Glad you're ok. Hopefully that broken humerus wasn't on your shooting arm. They call it the funny bone, but from experience there is nothing funny about hurting it. In all seriousness thank you for your service. Wish you a speedy recovery.
