Last Wednesday I hop in my truck to head to work and the low fuel warning pops up. I thought to myself, that funny, I just topped the truck of last night. It has been very cold and my initial thought was bad fuel indicating circuit. 1 mile later truck dies and I am out of gas. So I am thinking okay someone stole my gas. Well had a gallon in a can with me, put it in and truck almost starts and then I notice gas poring out form underneath my tank.

My initial thoughts well a gas line somehow came loose. Call Toyota care and get towed to the dealer. They called me back, and the service manager tells me there were holes drilled in the bottom of the tank and it will cost 1480.00 to replace!!!!!!!!!

I was skeptical, so I went outside and no shit, there are plastic drill shavings in the driveway. Apparently douchbags have been out stealing gas from trucks and SUV's by drilling the gas tanks. A number of trucks and SUV's got hit and I was one of them. Insurance will cover all but my deductible. SO I am out 500.00 bucks. I hope these guys who did this has a tank explode while they are doing this.

    Uh yeah , OK

they figured out how to bypass the anti syphon system by drilling holes in the tank but won't figure out that if they don't want to drill through a skid covering the bottom of the gas tank , they could just drill the tank in the side , like right there , you know where they would be when they were trying to drill your tank

    Legit

Or go on to the next car, which is a straight shot from the bottom...

Sometimes, they are just smart enough to avoid that "little extra effort"

Thieves are not only stupid, they are lazy.
