love when Oz posts haha. I disagree that thieves are stupid, i've seen some elaborate shit before. One could make the argument that law abiding citizens are stupid, we are the sheep. Morals are a different story however.

Yes, by spontaneously combusting the victims' garage/home and causing havoc amongst a home owner's yard.

If it took out the thief, it would soften the *blow a little

*not to be confused with the blow of the explosion

Before dropping $1500 (or even the $500 deductible) on a fuel tank, I would repair the drilled tank.

Match the drilled holes with a slightly bigger diameter bolt, one large enough that it will cut threads into the plastic as it is screwed into the tank. Then apply a generous layer of JB Weld over the bolt(s)

I'd probably try this route, too. Maybe use some nylon or plastic bolts, too, to eliminate any possilbe issues of introducing something metal into the tank.

Gas tanks in most vehicles have been made of composite plastic for over 20 years now...

Y'all ever see those sparks inside the motor of your drill? Drilling into the bottom of a tank would terrify me.
