I've always uderstood that 265/70-17 and 255/75-17 were sizes that would fit, stock

No way could you run a 35". I'm running 295/70-17 with 3" lift up front and it rubs when flexed. Plastics are heavily trimmed. One of these days I'll do the cab chop.

There are plenty of things I like rubbed. My wheel wells aren't on the list.

Anything is possible. I have my truck on 34" NO LIFT !

But.... it has been cab mount chopped, beat with a big hammer, pinchweld cut off and bent 50/50, and glassworks fenders, and about 2 inches of the stock bumper cut off until the new one is fabbed up.

So yes, could you do it, sure. Are you willing to go that far into it? That is only for you to decide.

I am happy with my end result, but it was a stressful journey to say the least.

That remind me, I need to update my 34" tire thread with the final pics...

Here is a nice pic to show you fitment:

Mind you this would likely clear a 35" now as I have over a 1/2" clearance, it would be close depending on tire width and wheel offset/backspacing.

My old 34 MT's fit wid 2.5" lift, cab mount chop, flattened pinch weld and slight fender trim on rear.
Occasional rubbing on the rear fenders while flexed but nothing crazy. I had 0 offset wheels and caster maxxed out to help clear it.
In the process of doing 1" BL and a full 3" lift so I can clear 35s hopefully.

I'm running 285/75/16's which is a 32.8" tire and all I had was a 3 inch leveling kit and minor fender trimming
