I have one and it comes in handy to keep my tools stored and secure but...
Man does it eat up a lot of bed space!

I bought mine used for cheap. I think the previous owner couldn't figure out how to adjust the lock. I adjusted mine and now it works fine.

I had this on my second gen and transferred it to my third gen. Looks and fits exactly the same. (access cab) Installed the Bolt lock so I could use my toyota key to lock it.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
You will like it. I ended up powder coating the lid of that box. Hard to believe that was 8 years and 4 trucks ago. I have the UWS now but still liked the toyota box a little more. I saw this old truck about 6 months ago and stopped and talked to the guy who owns it. It is exactly the way I sold it with 150k miles on it now and he has done nothing but change the oil. Box still looked good too.

Thanks, that looks like the low profile though. I am looking for the 12" wide 9" deep slimline box. Edit: Dug through the whole thread tonight and found a couple.

Does anybody know if you can fit a 63 inch long UWS box in a 1st generation Tacoma? Their site only says 60inch ones fit, but I'm curious if i can squeeze in the extra 3 inches and still fit.

I measured it and I have the room, but their site and Amazon both say that its a no go. I might just go with the 63, but I already bought a box and had to return it because it wouldn't fit. The box I originally bought was a Better Built crossover, not a UWS though. I just don't want to go through that whole process again.
