What about a tank that goes inside the bed over the fender? That is wasted space unless you have something else under that shell. This is what I'm thinking.

I'm sure a fab shop could make one and you could run a hose/valve to the factory tank. Maybe even a solenoid valve that you energize from the cab and turn off when you want.

I used to get that +, before I did my modifications. Now I average about 15.3 MPG.. Love that second fuel tank option though.. just dont have the $$$$

Usually, regular unleaded gasoline has a weight per gallon of 6.216 pounds per gallon, Premium gasoline 6.350 pounds per gallon. Diesel weighs 7.1 to 7.3 pounds per gallon.

Also guys, your GVWR is increased if you have increased the capacity via New Front Coils (EMU 883), New Shocks (Bilstein 5,100s), and New Rear Leaf Springs (Custom 9 Leafs Springs by DEAVER SPRINGs, and additional Rear Air Shocks (Firestone 5,000 lb Ride-Rite). These are all items that I did on my Truck.

In addition, someone mentioned about a rear tank and safety concerns. This tank is cradled between the Frame Rails and sits above and behind the Rear Axle. In addition, I installed a 138 pound Relentless Wrap Around Rear Bumper that is reinforced to the Frame Rails in the Back and Side extend to the Rear Wheel Well.

These are all items that need to be considered when looking at installing a 2nd Tank, from a GVWR and Safety Concerns.
