    Ya it's not bad. I really like the fact that it's a dry filter

    ive had both..... the afe seems to have a higher pitch and the box causes it to resonante sound more.

    i was thinking bout cutting out the muffler and getting a aero 2525 to replace it what you guys think

    Just ordered the Jones Turbine 2525. Will just be replacing the Stock muffler and not touching anything else. Looking forward to getting it installed and hearing it

    Just a preemptive heads-up. It might be louder than expected. "Might," I say because of your subjective taste. The XL versions come with a resonator. If it does infact sound to loud, then they should also offer their own separate resonator. If you don't feel like swapping out mufflers to the XL version.

    That's what I've read, but since I'm just swapping mufflers and not removing any cats, I figured the non XL version won't be crazy loud.

    $124 JT2525 Jones Exhaust Turbine Muffler, 304 Stainless Steel - 2-1/2" In/Out (JT2525)
    JT2525 installed today. Mainly drones around 1300-1500 rpms in town when the truck gets into 5th gear. I was very surprised how quiet it was on the highway though which is the majority of my driving. Had the truck on cruise control at 70-75-80 and I could barely hear it. Debating if I should cut the exhaust pipe off just after the axle as I've read it reduces the drone.

    Went a few days and chopped the exhaust just after the axle and it is amazingly less drone and sounds a tad deeper now.
