I was just on the phone with a tire place lining up some tires for new rims i ordered.

He said he thinks the 2017 Tacoma's went to an indirect tpms so I would need to swap over the ones in the stock wheels.

He said they just did a flat repair on another 17 and they didn't need to. I'm thinking he's either wrong? Or maybe the low trim levels don't have the monitors?

    He's wrong. They're direct.

    Indirect is cool though.

A flat repair shouldn't have anything to do with TPMS.
