Some priceless quotes from this video:
"most tire retailers are dry humping your leg"
"shame on you for not paying attention at school"
    "pseudoscientific vortex of bullshit"

I love this guy. Watch the video and then post again why you still give a shit about what kind of gas is in your tires.

    Yeah, read a little
Nope it's all included in the price, if it would have been more I would have said no thanks. This place is always extremely fair on pricing, and he stays busy.

Every 5k you have to rotate the nitrogen in your tires (or whenever you change your halogen fluid)

If ur half ass checking your shit I'd say live without it. If it's free take it.

Think of why TPMS even came to be a regulation..... Remember the Firestone equipped Ford Exploders?

Of course it's more stable and carries less moisture. Can also note, some shops use a purge method to extract more ambient/atmosphere from the tire when servicing too.

Even if you have them put pure nitrogen into your tires, there is no chance they can get all the air out of your tires anyway. You will always have a small amount of air in your tires which is mostly nitrogen anyway. 78% or, whatever air contains, is good enough for me.

The dealerships even charge $40 for this NONSENSE on brand new vehicles. Pretty hefty price for some ugly green valve caps.

TPMS sensors are BS anyway... Hmmm... how have we driven for 100 years and billions of miles without these? We are lucky to be alive. What a joke.

This. Don't neglect halogen fluid changes or you'll end up with sludging:

While I agree about the general usefullness (or lack of) nitrogen, this comment isn't always true. There are several aftermarket wheels (doubtful for Tacomas though) now with dual valve stems, allowing for 100% purge/fill.

10* ambient change = 1lb pressure change. Up or down.

Fill to correct pressure at cold temp and don't worry about the rise as the day/vehicle heats up.

Eh, he wasn't trying to really sell me on it as he really just mentioned it in his quote. The price he gave me can't be beat anywhere and his shop is very good. So I figure I will let him put the snake oil in now, and once summer comes and I am airing down for the beach constantly I will be back to normal.

IIRC ... Costco uses nitrogen for free in all new tire installations.

I've never seen an extra charge for nitrogen. That maybe a regional thing. :notsure:

If you fill your tires with miracle whip when you air down you have topping for some berries

They charge $7 per tire for nitrogen fill at the local tire place here. Good thing I looked into it before wasting my time and thanks for the excellent informative video

My dealer - Durango Motor Company - includes nitrogen as part of the sales pitch, for $95 a vehicle, then free refills for life. We had an intense discussion, with my citing most of the points in this great video. Eventually they removed the $95 fee, but my Limited still has green caps, entitling me to free nitrogen for life. What a deal! Ain't science great!

^So if you just bought green caps for $2 elsewhere, would you still get free nitrogen for life? :D

You won't turn a profit. :p Helium is hard to find and expensive. Nitrogen is just separated from shop air with a membrane cartridge either in the line or at the nozzle:
