I have absolutely no clue what you guys are talking about...but I'm pretty simple minded anyway so there's a lot of things I don't know.

I'm thinking of cutting and pasting several pages of your posts together, then e-mailing it to my son in Phoenix for translation. He speaks this gibberish ... ... ;) ...

WOW, erhh excuse me LOL Quake for the win! Once you got a 3DFX card and could see those MF's that were fraggin your ass from below the water.

When I retired from the Navy worked for a Novell VAR and did business process improvement. But no one could actually implement the system improvements that I recommended. So I learned how to do it. We were a platinum Novell reseller and implementer so they tried to push that way. But every place I went couldn't wait to break free of Novell and IBM Midrange or Mainframe implementation and go to a Microsoft solution. Migrated a lot of, and I mean a lot, of companies to NT and then Active Directory.

Came to Mn. as the System Admin for a large company and with NT 4 the SAM was so large with 60K users in one domain we had to purge and compress every night. And then implemented Novell LDAP as a solution until AD was solidified, almost made me gag. 4 Mainframes, hundreds of Midrange, and thousands of Windows Servers.

Not a fan of the Beatles but you know the song Taxman? I hate the Taxman. And have no regrets for the choices I have made. Long hard journey there but then again I am a stubborn SOB and have a long learning curve in life. Now I just to find a gf that has heart. Why did it take me so long to learn that one?!

Could introduce him to my youngest son who is Level 2 support for Apple Computers. I trained him in both Apple and Windows and he went to the dark side. And we could go fishing in the meantime :D
