I don't carry a weapon in my truck and never leave my firearms unattended.

Better off having one available and hoping that you will never have to use it, than one day for someunfortunate reason, needing one and you don't have it! I try very hard not to put myself in situations where stupid sh## might happen, always have and have stressed it to all my kids many many times throughout their yong lives. That being said, I have a very uneasy feeling these days, when I am out and realize that I don't have one at my disposal! Keep sharing your ideas guys and gals.

The point of my sarcasm was that the original post (a truck modification) and my showing a gun in my console are no more "bragging" about carrying a firearm than I am bragging about showing the other stuff in my console.

I do think it is a legitimate question as to why people would talk about carrying a firearm on a public forum. I do take it very seriously before posting and would only do it if I think it serves a purpose. I always have to laugh at people on gun forums who scream about not wanting gun registration because they don't want the government to know what guns they own, then list every firearm they own in their signature line.

It is not productive to have a discussion about whether one SHOULD carry a firearm. Its not that it can't be a legitimate discussion. It just never is. NEVER. EVER. Everybody is going to have a very strong opinion about this subject. Nobody will listen to the other perspective. Nobody is going to change their minds about it based on discussion here. Nobody. Reason will be abandoned. Mud will be slung. People will get angry. People will get banned.

Now, who has got some truck mods under the tree waiting to be installed?

Nicely said! I do have a ? on a mod. I just noticed on Amazon that mictuning also sells the LED h11 kit. $33 cheaper than the opt7. Looks like little bit higher wattage and lumens. Didn't find anything on TW about them just wondering if anyone knows much about them? The reviews were very good.

I agree with that 100% I don't post pictures of what I have, I don't post a list of what I have, it's my business. Posting things like that is as good as registering your firearms.

Please re-read my post. Can you quote where I said anything about not discussing any type of truck modification? I am all for a discussion of mods to the truck to carry a firearm which is completely appropriate for this thread. I said NOT PRODUCTIVE to have having a discussion of whether or not one SHOULD carry a firearm in this thread. But by all means go ahead and start the screaming match and let the mods sort it out.

I don't want to have a discussion about whether you should or shouldn't carry a firearm. What I would say based on years of training and experience is off body carry is next to not carrying. If it's not on you what's the point. As soon as you get out of your vehicle you can't holster or go hands on if you have to keep your firearm in your hand. Saying, "I can use it in my vehicle" sure is fine but in a gun fight do you want to stay in your death box? I'm not saying doing so is completely irresponsible or ignorant because I can come up with a couple scenarios where you don't need to do anything but shoot from the drivers seat and get your vehicle out of a bad area. What I am trying to do is expand your thought on how and why to carry in your vehicle because I can come up with a lot more reasons to carry on your person than just having it in your vehicle.

Great looking rig! I like the look of a smaller wheel and taller tire on mid sized trucks. 20's look good on full size trucks, not Tacoma's in my opinion. My Limited has 18's, I'll downsize to at least 17's but probably 16's so the 33's or 35's will look the best.

Mike, some have changed the license plate lights out from underneath but you better have very small hands. The lights actually pop straight out with just a little prying and than the bulb is right there. Took me all of about 3-4 minutes to do. LED's look soo goid there!

Thanks, seen that last night, emailed Amazon about that price because I had them in my Amazon cart to see about a price match. The response this morning was they wouldn't price match something already purchased. Really? I hadn't purchased them yet, they are now out of my cart and I am seriously considering the Morimito kit.
