So how strict is this one time use u bolt rule? I bought new U bolts for my dakar install, but I later removed a leaf from the pack. So they've been torqued down twice. I haven't been to worried about it, but figured I'd ask since were talking about it.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've done the same thing. If they torque down and don't strip, you're good.
It is good practice though to install new ones if changing an entire pack or if they are being removed after being on the truck for a few years.

Looks great. I actually just picked up a set of 2001 4Runner 5 star rims today. I am debating between the 265/75/16 and the 235/85/16. Do you foresee any rubbing issues with either size on a stock access cab? Right now I slightly rub the frame with 265/70/16 on 2nd Gen rims. Thanks for any info

265/75 should be fine with no trimming, not sure on other size. Your 265/70 shouldn't be rubbing

Well, it only rubs at full lock and compressed. I believe (from what Ive read) that the 2nd Gen rims have different backspacing than 1st Gen and 3rd Gen 4runner

Overall, pretty happy with how she turned out. Looks like I'm gonna need the add-a-leaf after all, and possibly 1" lift shakles. Also, need to figure out which bumpstops to get.

For reference, my bro-in-law (pictured) is 6'1.

What bushings are u guys using for the Dakar leaf springs? When I purchased the setup it came with OME bushings for OEM shackles but the one for the eyelet on the leaf is soooo small in diameter! Am I missing something here?

You lost me. Pics would help.

You're saying the bushing is too small?

Correct. Here's what low range sent me.
Top shackle bushing is fine (on right). The smaller half bushing goes on the lower part of the shackle that connects to the leaf. As u can see in the last pic is the only part of the bushing in contact with the leaf is the outer edge (lip of bushing). I would assume that it's way to much play, am I correct to assume that?IMG_0689.jpgIMG_0691.jpgIMG_0692.jpg

That ain't right, way too small. I used the same kit but didn't have that issue.

Kinda what I was thinking. This is the bushing kit they sent me. It says for OEM shackles but they are def way to small. The eyelets on the dakars have a much larger diameter.

Old pic, and you can just barely see the yellow from the bushing at the top, but there should be a steel sleeve as well. The pic you posted suggests that the yellow bushing is way too small even for that.

According to Wheelers off road, you may have the wrong part number.
Rear spring kit, OME #SB88 Complete kit, not sure what springs you have, please verify for yourself.

I would cross reference from as many vendors as you can before ordering. Also, the customer service is pretty good too, might be worth a call to some too verify.
These are the two I use the most.
