    hi all!
    This is actually my first Toyota. I'm pretty stocked. Worked out a great deal for it :)

    Glad to have found this place to learn and make some friends.

    As I'm looking around and choosing some upgrades I want to do, what stands out right away is lights. I was looking and even though I have a TRD sport 16 .. my truck didn't come with the led accent... is that a 17 thing? Also if I were to find these lamps somewhere would I need to find power to light up the led's? Or it would be a plug and play?

    Other than that I'm planning to get leather upholstery to match the black and grey interiors and change all interior lights to leds. ;)

    Welcome to TW! Congrats on the new truck!

    The LED accents are on the 2016's also. Mine is a 2016 TRD OR 4x4 And it has them. If yours is the TRD Sport you should have them also.

    What's on your headlight switch. Should be 4 positions. Off/DRL/PARK/HEAD.

    Leaving it on DRL instead of turning them off leave the LED Accents on.

    You know it's funny you mention this and actually I really appreciate it. I was doing some more digging last night and after further checking it appears I don't have a trd! The carfax they showed me (still have a copy) and even the website posting said trd sport but it's really not... it's actually an xp rockstar package that really all it is its a base model with some upgrades and the lights are not one of them.. neither as the scoop hood.. I could bitch to the dealer I guess but I'm probably not.... paid $28k for it and has 3k miles and I figured the wheel setup offsets whatever value I might be missing out (even though I know aftermarket stuff really doesn't add real value) so.... anyhow!!!! The light switch doesn not have those settings. So I'm probably stuck with the lights.. I'm gonna just do the led head/fog combo and the leather and I'll probably call it a day... really like this truck so far... anymore input is greatly appreciated! Thanks all!

    Ahh I was about to ask about the grill also but I figured maybe you switched it out since many people don't like the TRD grill lol. I would be letting the dealer know what I thought about them and trying to get some sort of something out of them if it were me but hey if you're happy with it that's all that matters man. Still a very nice truck! Hope you enjoy it!
