If your rig looks capable they typically just wave you through or if they do stop you they just ask if you have them in your vehicle. I have never had to physically show them when I was in my truck. They may not even have a checkpoint still up as the roads improve.

I went up the 330 past weekend and there was a checkpoint. I got waved right on through, both on the way up and down.

I think if your truck is clearly a 4x4, they won't even bother to ask if you have chains.

It was R3 conditions from Saturday till this morning... ALL vehicles including 4x4 must have chains on, mainly because there where so many fender benders blocking traffic and the plows could not get through. 38 was actually shut-down for like 12 hours.

I can see that. This weekend's storm brought much more weather than last week.

Looks like the girlfriend and I (and our Husky) will be trying to tackle Jacoby to Gold mountain and then Holcomb to White mountain. This'll be interesting. I'm decently equipped: 37" KM2s (35% tread), 7" lift, sliders, gas skid, front diff skid, frame skids, steel front bumper, and high clearance rear. I have my winch installed on my truck but it isn't wired (couldn't find time) though I do have my set of traction ladders.

Friday night made it 3/4 of the way up Berdoo Canyon to JT. But had to turn around, we got caught in some pretty thick fog. Further up we went just running my fog lights i could only see maybe 15ft in front of me. :pout:

not being able to see far ahead was a bit unsettling at times but man it added a whole other level of difficulty :headbang:

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Delayed again... :( Wednesday at the earliest

Damn... they have you waiting forever! Since they keep pushing the date back, you should ask them when the latest date is and hold them to it (just in case).

That's always a crap shoot when you do that so they don't half ass anything. Guilt trip over the phone helps.

He said the body and glass guy was out. I'm getting a new windshield thanks to insurance. So I guess it's worth it. :(
