Hey guys I've had a squeak on my truck for quite some time now, it used to go away with WD-40 but lately it's gotten worse and won't quiet. I did notice that it's definitely coming from where the coil over bolts to the LCA. The coil over is off to the side and slightly twisted, I have twisted it back twice now. Do the lower metal bushings on the coil overs just need to be replace or is it something else?

Here is a pic of where the LCA has dug into the metal on the coil over and pushed it up. You can also see how it isn't centered and off to the side. Coil overs are Fox

Is your misalignment spacer on the wrong side?

Looks like you are missing the rear spacer. What brand coilovers?
There should be a spacer on both sides. See #8 HERE

Coilovers are Fox, not sure about the spacer as far as I know it was installed correctly. It wasn't this bad when I bought the truck

Remove the wheel/tire, remove the lower strut bolt and put the misalignment spacer on the other side

You can move that spacer to the rear but the coilover might contact your swaybar if you still have one. If you don't have a swaybar, you can move it as @Large suggested. My coilovers came with a short and a long spacer. Did yours?

Then it will rub against the front side of the mount and hit the sway bar. There should be a spacer there, what does the other coilover look like? Post a pic of both sides.

Correct. But he said he had fox .. You put an Icon pdf, I've never ran fox but I would assume they have the same spacers .. Or similar ones. Here is a pic of my passenger side (Icon). Seems like op is missing something.

The fox have a c-clip holding in the pressed in bushing. You may want to check to confirm that the c-clip is in place still and potentially replace that bushing.

How's your alignment and are the LCA bushings in decent shape?

My alignment feels alright when driving and I had it done when I put 285s on a while back. I guess I need to make sure this spacer is on properly and possibly replace it. Will try to upload a pic of the passenger side tonight

Update, after twisting that shock body shaft back into place some time ago and pressure washing out the spot the squeak continues. I now believe it to be the ball joints on the LCAs which look to be toast, I plan to order MOOG complete LCAs which will hopefully take care of it

Squeak might be different, but did you ever silve the lca rubbing the shock? I have foxes that are doing the same thing, spacers are in correctly...

I have the same issue right now. Sorry to bring back an old thread, but are there updates to this?
