The camera screws and pressurizes into the emblem. The wiring has a round plug in the engine bay which connects through the firewall to the second part which has a yellow RCA for video and a red and black wire for power. Rear View Safety makes the camera and the emblem plate. I mounted it in and used hot glue to keep it mounted and hot glued the wires to the inside to the grill. Why hot glue, it sticks and can be removed like it was never there.

A company called Rear View Safety makes the Toyota specific camera that fits in the front. It's about $100 just for the camera.

What do you wire the camera to?
    Stereo? aftermarket screen?

I don't. I did take any when I had it installed. The angle cannot be adjusted since the camera is fixed.

When in a city, parking the nose of the truck within inches is necessary to fit in the excessively small parking spots. Works like a rear camera, but in the front. I have an AVIC8200NEX that I tap on button and it turns on the camera when parking. The Tacoma front bumper is not a tap and go kind of bumper.

Mine wired to the auxiliary video input of an AVIC8200NEX. You can arrange it so the camera button is one touch away.

I am selling it because I have a TRDPro grill now. It uses a different camera set up.

As for the stock deck, that thing was gone before I got my licenses plates on. The quality is......well, something you have to learn to like. The stock reverse camera is not even 12 volts, I had to add resistors to knock down the voltage to 6 volts. Plus, if I recall, you cannot operate the reverse camera unless in reverse. My AVIC8200NEX allows me to turn on the camera at any time if selected, even make is a front screen shortcut, quick to access.

I wonder if the TRD Pro Grille has some sort of future input. Anyone else notice that squarish shape near the bottom middle part of our grilles??
