Hello everyone, just to give you a little back story. I have a 2003 tacoma V6 2wd. I am perfectly happy with the car, but ever since i saw the 3rd gens i wanted one, but i cant seem to justify paying $35k for another truck when i have one running perfectly.

So now i decided since i saved my self some money (I actually went to dealer with check in hand, negotiated price, right before signing, i walked away). I want to put some money onto my 03's suspension. I am currently running stock config. I want to level out the front, but almost every kit i look at raises the rear. My rear leafs are pretty shot too, so they would need to be replace. Again any 3rd party leaf spring ive seen add height (dakar, alcans)

I plan to do a little desert running, so a firmer setup will be nice.

Any suggestions? I would like to keep it around $1500 for the project.

any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Wheelers 3 leaf pack for stock hight in rear. Then OME 880 or 881s on 5100s or ome shocks upfront. Call wheelers they can help you out and tell you exactly what you need to get where you want

I would definitely keep the first gen that you have, I got rid of mine because I really wanted a second gen which I got and then a few months later regretted selling the first gen. A few month down the road I ended up buying another first gen and now my 08 is a garage queen.
