Any ideas on why my right tire is out farther than my left? Same spacers...1.25 inch on both. I thought it looked funny the other day, but I shrugged it off thinking I was seeing things. I looked again today and yep the left tire is flush with the fender flare...the right tire sticks out about .5 inches more (the width of the rounded part of the tire tread). Any ideas would be helpful.

wellll..... the carfax when I bought it was clean... but it had the FabFour bumper on it. I'm not sure if the dealer put it on, or the previous owner.

Photos show the rear tires? Most likely the bed is offset on the frame.

Those are the fronts. The pic on the left is the right front. The pic on the right is the left front. Take from the front of the truck looking back. I just had it aligned about a month ago, so the camber should be good....at least ok. It was off a bit which was causing a little vibration while driving. If the camber was way off, you'd see a difference between the front of the tire and the rear of the tire in relation to the wheel well wouldn't you?

Never trust a Carfax report, always take it to a reputable place and have it checked out.

Do you have aftermarket wheels? Maybe they accidentally sent you two different offsets.

Nah. They're stock wheels powder coated black. I walked by the other day and actually told my wife it looked like the shop that did my alignment actually forgot the spacer on the front left... I might have to find some guys around here more familiar with 4WD vehicles.

Is it just me or does the bumper seem to be offset in the same direction?

You sure the spacer are both on, and if so that they are the same size? Could have been a mistake putting the wrong spacer in there.

Well, that's possible. I've thought the same thing, actually. If you look at the mounting brackets, it's certainly off a little. I'm just not sure how to square it up since I have no idea how she got that way. I bought her used in May from a pretty big dealer here in Indy. And they're painful to deal with, so I'll have to try someplace else.

Yeah, I looked a few times...only because I thought it was just me not looking at it right. But both of the spacers are there. Now I haven't actually measured them...only because I'm assuming that taking a vehicle in for an alignment, should result in the same spacers put on when I leave as when I showed up... ??...

Oh I thought the shop added them.

So you are saying the truck was good before the alignment, and then after it was like this?

I don't think the shop did this... I don't recall noticing this before, though. Although, it's still kinda new to me and I'm seeing new (interesting) stuff all the time. I don't mind having to fix something, I just need to know what's broken, ya know?...

Thanks for the input, guys. Wasn't sure if anyone had seen this type of thing or not. I'll get her to a qualified shop to figure it out. Happy New Year, by the way!!

For mass-market production vehicles, they typically don't remove the wheels when doing an alignment. (Race cars are a different story...)
