Carvana, Only the second one in the US. Was driving down I-10 the other day and noticed the Taco in there. Decided to share, thought it was pretty interesting. IMG_2680.jpg

It is actually a used car dealership. Literally could purchase from your couch, pick up or get it delivered, then you have 7 day test drive to decide if you keep it. Crazy shi..

That reminds me of a show I saw on VW, they have tall stuff like that and a elevator goes up and grabs parts and cars, was really cool.

They got approval to build one of these in the west end of Richmond. It's neat and it would have been visible from I-64. The project is on hold for some reason which makes me think Carvana is expanding too fast. They are the ones with the ad that says "it didn't suck." Classy.

so, no paperwork, or anything? You just order it online and pick it up out of the machine?

    that's pretty sweet

I see theses kind of "no hassle" types of dealers, mostly online. I work for a leasing company that sells our lease returns no haggle. People always tell me they hate haggling at a dealership. You don't have to haggle at a dealership. Pay the price they quote you, and I promise you will be out very quickly. You aren't saving money by going to no haggle stores, you are paying more, or at best the same as a dealership. When CarMax first came out, their cars were $3000-$5000 more than a dealership. We were taking our trade-ins and selling them to Car Max for way more than what we could get for them at auction. The "vending machine" is a gimmick that is only increasing the cost to sell their cars. Guess who is paying for that super complicated car dispenser. The buyer.

And guess where they are getting these cars? Auctions. The same place dealers sell their iffy inventory.
