OMG Which tires should I buy? (pics included!)

Alright, here's my background statement. Bought a stock pair of 2015 4runner wheels/tires and the tires SUCK on the snow here in CO. I'm literally sliding everywhere!!! Can't take it. Need new tires that don't suck! 265/70/17. Below are some photos and prices of what I am looking at. Give me your opinion, thanks in advance!


Falken Wild Peak A/T3W - $133.43 ea.


Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 - $142.00 ea.


Cooper Discoverer A/T3 - $127.42

 

My new bfg ko2's seem to do well in snow.

 

$225 each though ><

 

I love the look of the Falkens. I am actually considering them myself. The ony concern I have with them is that they seem to wear rather fast.

Judging by the tires and the prices posted he doesn't have the funds for k02s. My experiences with the cooper at3 were very good. I had them on a jeep xj though. Never had any problems from them and always got me where i needed to go in the snow.

 

Yeah I was just reading up on that Falken page. Don't know anyone that has them but I'll keep reading on!

I bought the truck with those Hankooks and they actually kinda kicked ass I can't even lie... nothing compared to my current MTRs, and I don't drive in snow, but in the mud/lose rock they surprised me quite a bit by not totally sucking. I don't do business with Cooper after some issues between my roommate and them i'd rather not get into.

Holy cheap prices. A set of those hear would cost around $1200

 

How you use the truck is the important part. Buy tires for 80% of your normal driving.

If it's lots of snow on pavement, buy a real winter tire. Nokian, Blizzak, Michelin Ice, etc. Put them on the old wheels and drive safe.

Save your fancy new wheels for non-snow tires.

Off pavement a lot, even in snow, and something else is in order.

Do not buy a tire on looks and price alone. It's your only contact with the road. #Gripmatters.

 

KO2's are +$400 compared to what I'm looking at.

General Grabber AT2's. You can get them for around 150 each.
I've had 2 sets on 2 different rides. They kill it in the snow for the price. Snowflake symbol/certified tires.

I gotcha, but here in CO it's snow one day, sunny slosh the next. No predicting what we will get, the rockies make their own weather. We get the most snowfall in March! I want something all around badass that will be good in snow, rain, regular pavement, etc.

 

Thanks, I'll keep those in mind. Discount tire has them at $188 ea. I don't mind paying more if I know they will be worth it!

 

Read good things on the cooper, i want to get rid of my BFG KOs and get some cooper stmax tires.

Ko2's are super quiet.

 

Doesn't exist. There are summer tires, winter tires and 3 season tires.

Pick the right ones for your driving conditions, even if it means having 2 sets.
