Tired of the annoying seatbelt chime? Here is the solution.

I have a Tacoma 2017 TRD Off Road and finally found the right type of seatbelt buckle to plug into the receptacle and kill the annoying chime and also turn off the red icon on the panel.

Exactly! It's almost like Toyota put the seatbelt in the truck for a reason.

Can you not just unplug the connector under the seat? If that doesn't work maybe jumper it?

I mean sure wear the belt normally, but anyone that has ever gone through multiple gates or used the truck as a ranch tool hauler knows that the chime sucks ass.

 

Just had the parts guy disarm mine when I had the factory alarm installed... Still wear my seatbelt... Mainly for country driving out at my ranch.

The seat belt chime is very annoying while I am in the field with the dogs too.

 

Can you not just smash it with a hammer?.... Always works when things annoy me

 

Actually, you could on the 2nd gen. But I don't want to take the dash apart on my new truck.... yet.
