If yes, my 2017 Porsche turbo boxster w/6 spd manual trans is available to rent. I currently have it listed on Turo. (It's like Airbnb but for cars. they handle all insurance, etc.)

My wife "really really want it so much" this car so we got it. I rarely ever drive it and she doesn't drive it as much as she thought she would.

Anyway, here's my listing if anyone in the SF bay area is interested: https://turo.com/rentals/cars/ca/san-jose/porsche-718-boxster/212656?s=PRjzmFtJ

Note: I will give a discount for my Tacoma bro's ($225 per day instead of $248 per day)
If you are within 15 miles of san jose, I can deliver the car to you. Please PM me first before reserving the Porsche through turo.com ( so I can give you a discounted rate)

Yes, I love sports cars. So much so, that I would NEVER think of renting out my little Spyder. Period. Have you thought this through? Do you really love this car? Please, for the love of all that is Porsche Maintenance, please do not rent this out. I implore you.

Does the insurance cover new tires, brakes, clutch &/or floating a valve when I bury it in the rev limiter while leaving rubber 11's on an industrial street after dark?

Lol. I was just mentioning this the other night when @eon_blue was talking about driving a v8 Challenger rental.

Yeah....I wouldn't do this, lol. I treated the Challenger we rented pretty well considering, but we were on a family vacation. It was icy/raining the majority of our trip and I was carting around my 5 year old nephew most of the time. If I had rented it 'for fun', you bet your ass I would have tested that thing's limits. I dunno, I just feel like the long-term (possibly even short term) cost of doing something like this would make it not worth it.

This was mine until last year. 2014 Boxster S. Sold it. Needed a practical commuter. Miss it.

Haha I know, you guys are right - I do have some reservations about the whole thing but i've rented it out a few times already and so far so good (although it was mostly co workers or friends of friends. but the Turo process should help to weed out the riff raff (hopefully)

I would rent my girl out before I would rent my Porsche out (if I had a Porsche).

I get the idea behind Turo but I wouldn't even participate with my truck. I work for a Porsche dealer and know what the costs are for replacing the brakes, tires and even the clutch. I wouldn't trust anyone with my car, regardless of what you're making for a daily rate.

I enjoy my 99 Boxster and even at almost 18 years old, I wouldn't let someone rent it because of the cost of maintenance. People would probably destroy my clutch and transmission in a matter of hours... so much grinding and stalling...

Of course we love sports cars and yours is a ridiculous idea.

This is my first truck and modified for fun as such. I've owned nothing but, and worked on only, sports cars for years (multiple M3, Z3, Z4s, Audi TT, Lexus SC) and now my old Boxster.

    Stop the madness.

I had an 05' Boxster S, and the '14 Boxster S. Both excellent machines with no problems.

I'm fairly certain that one/some of the previous owners didn't take very good care of my 99. I haven't had any "issues" but I can tell it's not quite right. I'm considering trying to trade it for an E36 M3... so much easier to work on.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Can I rent your wife, too?
