Just pulled the trigger on the Ridge grapplers. 275/70/18 .

Found them on sale with free shipping. It was time. I've been running the Terra Grapplers and have loved them.

Looking forward to putting these on

here's a pic of the two different sidewall options. Kinda cool they give you a choice.

Can't decide between these and Toyo mt's to run 3 seasons on new rims. Both look pretty sweet.

Hey OP, @double dee we never got your review for the nittos G2, wondering how you've been liking them? Pros & cons?

Was thinking of ko2s but have now been gravitating towards nittos, would like to hear about your experience with them.

late reply but was reading some reviews on nittos page, one review mentioned that after 2 months the guy got rid of them as he almost had 2 accidents from them hydroplaning.

No mention of whether or not he was a dumb ass though and driving like a cock.
    So who knows.

Those are sweet looking tires... I bought my Terra Grapplers before these came and I'm happy with mine but going with these next. I like the lightning bolt on the Terra Grapplers best as the Terra Gs have 2 different sidewalls as well.

I've been running 285s C load and have been happy with them, not loud and they track straight.....only time will tell if that changes

Been running some 35x12.50R18's on my Tundra since Sept when they released the size. These tires are absolutely amazing. Near silent, good grip in every condition I've encountered.
Only place they may be slightly lacking is ice. But dry or wet pavement, even standing water, snow, slush- work great. Handling and smooth ride on the street is also impressive for how agressive they appear. Oh and did I mention mine are load range F? Yes, Load F. 12 ply tires but ride way better than the E's that came off the truck before these.

9.5/10 Will most definitely buy again as long as I get a fair number of miles out of them (currently about 7k on them with hardly any signs of wear)

LOL, yes they do. At first I wondered if it was a typo on their part, but sure enough they offer a few sizes in a load F. I was a bit hesitant at first, but after the first week with them all my hesitation went out the window, they don't ride like absolute crap on the Tundra. Better than the E's I had before them which was a surprise. A nice thing i'm also seeing is my Tundra LOVES to eat the outside lugs on the front tires from steering, these seem to be really resilient to it and I'm seeing nearly no extra outside lug wear compared to the rest of the tire.

How high are you guys lifted in the front to be going with 285-70-17?

Hey double fee nice set up by the way, I have a 2015 Taco im planning to buy these 285's 70 17. If you have a chance can you please measure the exact width for me the widest part from side to side I know it's tires are different and also the height I'm just curious I'm trying to install that on my 2015 my concern is robbing I do have a three inches lift right now.

    Thank you

I think when my crappy KO2 are low on traction im going with these tires in a 285/75/17.
My KO2 tires dont balance worth a damn. They are 295/75/16 load E. ive had them replaced and rebalanced 3-4 times and then had Les Schwab try and they got it better but they still vibrate at 40-50 mph. Cant wait to get rid of them!!
Oh and im not impressed with the KO2's in snow/icy conditions.

If rain and hydro planning are big concerns then also stay away from the KO2's. The C-shaped tread has been known to have issues at high speed in the rain excavating water.

I've been on KO2s for the past 2 years in the northwest and have not had any issues with hydroplaning. I can't compare the tire to the nitto because I don't have any experience with it, but a buddy of mine will be getting the ridge grapplers soon. I can ask him about his experience later on.

I have 285/70/17 trail grapplers. Might go to 305/70/17 ridge grapplers after reading this review thread

I am seriously considering going this same route with my 2016 sport 4x4 DC. So the question is I have Billie 5100 all around with the fronts set at the .85. I am currently running Goodyear adventures 265/70/17 on SEMA wheels with 4 mm offset. Will these nittos fit without cutting anything? Please forgive my ignorance.

Just look up clearing 285s , you will find a lot of useful info, you may or may not need to do much, and you may need cab mount chop and to pull your fender liners back, you will definitely have to lose your front mud flaps unles you trim them mostly away, i am still running a small amount of my front flaps, and most people recommend at least a 3 inch lift with 285s but it can be done with out any. All depends what your willing to do and how much you off-road your truck

Edit: 3rd gen mudflaps are different so I'm not totally sure on those for your specific installation, plus your truck is 1 inch higher from factory. Go for it, you may need to heat some plastics and take a razor blade to others. Can mount chop is different for everyone, some have to and some dont
