I have a 2016 TRD 4WD sport and want to replace the junk factory tires but keep the stock rims. I rarely drive highways and mostly drive on secondary roads and rural roads in the mountains of Northwest PA. I need something good in the snow and for taking off road hunting and never plan on putting a lift over 2" if I ever do? What is everyone's thoughts on these tires on your Tacoma? Post some pics of your truck with the sport rims and these tires.

Check my build thread, I Offroad with them, daily drive on them, and abuse them. They just keep working! I haven't had them in deep snow, but in 2" unplowed they were great!

Have them in 285 trim. Love the tire. 20k on them so far and they look brand new. Offloaded a few times with them, sidewalls hold up great even at low psi.

I live near Warren PA. Where are you located? I ran the Generals on my 2003, they do very well in the snow and are quite affordable, I would not hesitate to run them again. BTW welcome to the forum from a fellow NW PAer

I just got the Grabber AT2 265/65r17 and I love them. Handles much better in the snow then the Toyo Open Country tires.

No, stock suspension at the moment. Toytec kit is on the way though.

Looking good. Thinking about getting these exact tires 265/75R16 like yours. Did your MPG take a hit?

I would think it should be about 1-2 mpg less just because of the additional weight, but I haven't really noticed to be honest.

Mine are on a 2nd gen but I love this tire and plan to buy more when these wear out. They do excellent in the snow and have got me home every time. They look great too, particularly on the 3rd gen pics above! I will say at least with my truck, they do need to be rotated every oil change!

I came from the trd sport 17's
the mpg's will drop, but your driving style dictates by how much.
