Has anyone done a transfer case swap with a FJCruiser case?

Talk to me Badger...easy swap, difficult, do's/don'ts etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am wanting to do this swap to get the manual lever instead of an electric motor.

I have been told since I have a manual transmission, I need a transfer case from a manual transmission equipped FJ due to the different size transmission output shaft on an automatic (and therefore a different bore size in the transfer case).

Sorry, but I don't know how to email you direct(?)

    This^^^

Rock Solid toys is the best authority on these swaps. They have complete reconditioned T-cases and other parts needed. The complexity somewhat depends on how custom you want things like lever position. There are also changes to make to the wiring harness so that the ADD continues to function, as well as the dash lights. Wyatt provides excellent documentation for this. Wyatt and I did the swap in one long day, which included fabbing a set of custom shift levers. I highly recommend getting the kit from them. There are modifications to the case that they make to improve function, but I won't share what those are. They have put in the time to really understand and test this conversion. Wyatt is a first class guy to deal with! My swap has been in use for 5 years now with zero problems!
