I'm looking to get a 3" lift on my 2016 tacoma. I was leaning towards rough country, but I haven't seen the best reviews on those. What would y'all recommend for the best ride on and off road? I'm also going to put on 275/70R18 Terra Grappler G2's.

Best ride on and off road? Kings.

Good ride and good off road? Old Man Emu.

Decent ride and decent off road? Bilstein 5100.

Definitely do not do Junk Country, do not do spacers. At the minimum start out with Bilstein 5100's on your stock or upgraded OME or Eibach coils. Please don't spend 300.00 to put a lift on a $35,000 + vehicle

When someone asks what the best lift is and mentions they are thinking rough country, thread should be locked! Might as well leave it stock as you obviously won't be using the truck for what it is capable of.

Not necessarily. A lot of people are new to trucks and just don't know all the options they have.

Actually I'd look into 6112/5160 bilstein lift. It is the happy medium between those options listed above and has received rave reviews here from real-world users (third gen drivers). Search 6112 in this forum and you will find plenty of info with install tips and experienced feedback. The 6112 / 5160s in rear and a new leaf pack combo will get you just shy of 3" and it will cost you half (or less than half) of what a complete Kings setup would. Your CVs will also thank you.

5100s are a cheaper way to lift it but they don't provide an impressive ride. Pretty stiff/harsh compared to the OEM TRD OR ride.

EDIT: Oh I just realized you're coming from the Sport suspension. The 5100s may actually not be any worse than that hitachi "sport" suspension.
